PAYMENT OPTIONS:
Before any student can commence the course of study, the annual tuition fees and course related costs are required to be paid in advance; the options are:
SELF-FUNDED: Please pay the tuition fee with bank cheque or direct credit. If paying by either method, please send transaction details to the ACCH office, as per the contact details above. It is also the students responsibility to follow up any payment made with the college office. We also accept credit card (Visa/MasterCard) payments; however, as there is an additional credit card charge of 6% on top of the invoice amount we recommend payment by either of the first two options.
STUDY LOAN AND/OR STUDY ALLOWANCE (New Zealand/Australian Citizen or Resident Only): Students that wish to pay their tuition fees via a student loan need to contact Studylink directly on the toll-free number 0800-88 99 00, in order to obtain advice on applying either via phone, mail or online. StudyLink - visit the StudyLink Apply On-line site at: www.studylink.govt.nz.
Before applying to Studylink please ensure that enrolment processes are complete, by contacting the college office. To obtain financial assistance with study costs from Studylink is a relatively simple process; however the entire process from initial application to actual payment can take between four to six working weeks.
For attending students, the student is encouraged to start the study loan process well in advance of course commencement. The annual tuition fee will be paid directly to the college from Studylink on behalf of the student.
WORK & INCOME NEW ZEALAND: Students who wish to apply for financial assistance with tuition fees through WINZ (Training Incentive Allowance) will need to contact their WINZ case manager. WINZ - www.workandincome.govt.nz
Students can also apply for financial assistance for any study related costs (books, stationary, transport cost etc) through Studylink and WINZ. The study related costs will need to be applied for separately to the tuition fee.
COLLEGE POLICY REGARDING STUDENT ENTITLEMENTS: In regards to student benefits and entitlements ,the student is responsible for their own applications for student allowances, loans and benefits. Please contact the College office on 09 377 2214 for information on Studylink and WINZ registration, if required. The College is responsible for verifying enrolments and course start and finish dates, or providing enrolment details to relevant agencies.
FEE PROTECTION POLICY: The NZQA and the Ministry of Education require the college to operate a trust fund with the Public Trust Office, an NZQA-approved operator, to protect student fees should the college cease to operate. In the unlikely event of the college ceasing to operate, students can obtain a refund of fees according to the refund policy from the trustees. As the student progresses through the course, their fees are transferred from the trust account with the Public Trust Office to be used on the students behalf.
REFUND POLICY: Students may withdraw from their course at any time, and the ACCH may also terminate a students enrolment for reasons which are at the ACCHs discretion, and in line with ACCH policy.
All cancellations and applications for a refund must be received in writing. Fees may then be refunded according to the following policy, as detailed in the Education Act of 1989:
If a student wishes to withdraw within eight days from the start of the course, they will receive a full refund, less 10%, or $500 (whichever is the lesser amount) to cover administration costs.
No refunds will be given in the case of a students enrolment being terminated.
For international students, if a refund application is within the above requirements, we are required to inform the Immigration Service of changes to your student visa as part of the refund process. Therefore, we suggest that you contact the Immigration Service promptly to advise of changes to your visa status, or that you are returning to your home country. |
