Courses and Curriculum Overview
Current experience within the education community of professional homeopathy (ECCH European Guidelines for Homeopathic Education 2000) shows that effective education in homeopathic practice takes a minimum of three to four years of full time study at a diploma or degree level.
Courses offered by the ACCH include extensive face to face training, with an emphasis on self guided study and research. Students are guided and supported throughout their training by the colleges robust support systems, and have access to mentors and ACCH graduates during their studies.
The ACCH has also established a system of mentoring for students from experienced graduates and practitioners. This system of clear feedback from experienced practitioners in each aspect of the course has proven over the last two decades to be a strong addition to the extensive training program. In addition, students develop research and assessment skills to be able to discern the new paradigms that are offered.
ACCH differs from other homeopathic courses offered in Australasia in that the course content contains new emerging homeopathic methodologies and philosophies. Since inception the college has aligned with the basic principle behind Hahnemanns work, who followed an evolutionary development and changed his Organon from edition to edition according to growing experience and knowledge; therefore the college curriculum not only covers the basics of Homoeopathy, as detailed in the unit standards for NZQA accreditation, but also adds a strong and thorough course of advanced modern homeopathy as developed by Dr Rajan Sankaran of India, and Dr Jan Scholten of Holland, to name two of our most respected mentors.
The currently evolving concepts of Families of remedies are also taught. The college is committed to incorporating the modern advances in Homoeopathic thought and practice into it's curriculum as fast as they arise and are proven.
All courses as outlined below are concentrated courses in homeopathic healing, and are designed to give the student the strongest knowledge base possible to either continue with studies, or to join the ranks of New Zealands alternative health professionals as a practicing homeopathic practitioner.
