ACCH Medical Science course costs
The ACCH Medical Science course is an integral part of the ACCH Diploma in Homeopathy, and the ACCH Diploma in Homeopathy Foundation Skills. The ACCH Medical Science course is based upon NZQA Core Health unit standards. The body systems are taught in modules, which includes Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathology, and where relevant current allopathic treatments are discussed. A homeopathic approach to the treatment of disease is also incorporated into the course structure.
The course is structured on a modular basis, and incorporates a total of 14 modules as listed below. For ACCH Diploma in Homeopathy students the Medical Science course must be completed by the end of the fourth year of study in order to graduate with The ACCH Diploma in Homeopathy.

Breakdown of Medical Science course costs:
All ACCH homeopathy courses are structured in a way that enables the student to receive the maximum amount of homeopathic training possible during lectures. Consequently, Medical Science is treated as a separate series of lectures taught during the week on Mondays and Tuesdays, and all students are welcome to attend medical science lectures for any, or all of the modules.
The total Medical Science course is also able to be completed by the ACCH Distance and Flexible Learning format.

Payment for Medical Science course:
Payment for the modules of the ACCH Medical Science course is relative to the course of homeopathy the student has enrolled in:
1. ACCH Certificate in Acute Prescribing:
Completing Medical Science modules in this course is optional. However, if the student intends to complete the remaining three years of the course in order to achieve the ACCH Diploma in Homeopathy, we strongly suggest the student completes a minimum of two modules of the Medical Science program during this first year. If the student completes the first two modules of the Medical Science course by the end of Year One, the tuition fee for these modules will be refunded. This is to encourage students to commence the Medical Science course and to complete the two prerequisite modules before commencing Year 2.
2. ACCH Diploma in Homeopathy Foundation Skills:
Fees for this course include all Medical Science module fees as well as homeopathy tuition fees.
Note: The Foundation Diploma is open for attending students on campus only, and is not available for study by Distance and Flexible learning format.
3. ACCH Diploma in Homeopathy:
In order to achieve the Diploma in Homeopathy, the student must complete all medical science modules by the end of the fourth year. Students can work at their own pace, completing all Medical Science modules over one, two, three or four years. However, we recommend the following program as a way to accomplish completion of the Medical Science course:
Year 1: Two modules
Year 2: Four Modules
Year 3: Four modules
Year 4: Four modules
When a student enrolls in the Medical Science course payment can be made in one of two ways:
1. Payment in advance for the total program of 14 modules- this attracts a discount of 10% on the total cost of Medical Science tuition.
2. Payment in advance for the first 7 modules; payment for the remaining 7 modules when commencing the 8th module. No discount is available if paying via this option.
3. Payment in advance for the first 4 modules as per the above table ; payment for the remaining modules available on either part payment (ie next 4 modules) or full payment (ie balance of remainder). No discount is available if paying via this option.
Additionally, payment by single module may be available to students who have completed the RPL process, and been exempted from elements of the Medical Science course.
Tuition fees for the ACCH Medical Science program are equivalent to approx $282 NZD per year, across the four years of the ACCH Diploma in Homeopathy program. Tuition fees apply to all students studying the ACCH Diploma in Homeopathy, unless an exemption has been given for all or part of the Medical Science program following Recognition of Prior Learning assessment.
DVD Lending Deposit:
Effective as of January 1, 2008, all students studying the Medical Science program by distance will be required to pay a one-off, refundable deposit of $150 before any course DVDs can be sent. Tuition fees for the Medical Science course as per either of the above options must be received by the college prior to any course DVDs being sent to a student.
Terms and conditions as set out below:
o All course DVDs must be returned in the condition as sent to the student
o All course DVDs must be returned within a 4 week period from receipt
o The college reserves the right to retain all or part of the deposit if the modules are damaged in any way
o If the college has cause to retain all or part of the deposit, the student will be required to place a further deposit before being sent further course DVD�s
o For distance students located outside New Zealand, Medical Science DVDs will be sent with homeopathy course materials, and subject to the above conditions.
o The deposit will be refunded on completion of all Medical Science modules, subject to all lent DVD�s being returned in satisfactory condition.
o If completion of all Medical Science modules takes longer than one academic year, the deposit can be rolled over to the next academic year.
Completed Module Crediting:
Student credits will be registered with NZQA upon completion of the relevant unit standard. Prior to credits being registered all tuition fees and rental deposits must be received by the college.
