Studying an ACCH course includes face-to-face tuition, self-study, research and assessments, and blends the advanced teachings of Vithoulkas, Sankaran and Scholten with traditional Homeopathic teaching.
Current experience within the community of professional homeopathy shows that effective education in homeopathic practice takes a minimum of three to four years of full time study at a diploma or degree level. This is confirmed by the ECCH (European Council for Classical Homeopathy) European Guidelines for homeopathic education 2000.
We welcome students from all over the world, and are proud of the quality of our graduates. If you wish to enroll in an ACCH course, please go to the Steps to Enrolment form for an outline on our enrolment procedure. If you wish for more information please contact us, or download the current ACCH prospectus.
If you have already studied in the field of natural health and/or homeopathy, you may be eligible to apply for recognition of prior learning. Please see below for details.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
The College acknowledges and supports the right of potential students to be credited for previous studies in the field, and upon application ACCH management will assess previous qualifications attained through the similar processes of cross crediting or recognition of prior learning.
In order to assess accurately what has already been achieved in a previous qualification and the degree of cross crediting that can be made, previous qualifications are looked at closely. An applicant for cross crediting may receive credit for components of either the homeopathy curriculum, or medical science modules. Due to the detail of this process a fee is involved. Please contact us to enquire.
Any RPL application is based on previous unit standards/qualification attained under the NZQA framework. Part or all of a year's tuition can be waived and credit given if competence can be demonstrated.
Students who have attained a relative 1st year diploma qualification from another institute may gain automatic entry to 2nd year of the college program, but may still be required to complete other aspects of the 1st year course e.g. Ethics, Communication etc. These modules are available for study by distance, and can be completed during the study period a student enrolls for.
There will be some degree of access to Year 3 & 4 of the ACCH Diploma in Homeopathy program by RPL. Each application will be considered on his/her merits as per the above policy.
The practical assessment of credit transfers and RPL applications will remain the responsibility of the Management team, and decisions made regarding crediting aspects of any course to an applicant will be made in the strictest confidence.
