Evolution The ACCH Diploma in Homeopathy
The ACCH Diploma in Homeopathy - Evolution - aims to provide the graduate with a solid competence from which to practice as a professional within the health field, both within NZ and internationally.
After the first year of the course modules of learning are expanded to include a focus on contemporary homeopathic practice as espoused by leaders such as Jan Scholten and Rajan Sankaran. An emphasis is placed on studying remedies by kingdom and family. Miasm theory, from Hahnemann to the current day, is taught alongside Sankarans latest theories on the vital sensation. The methodologies of Group analysis and thematic prescribing are also investigated and applied. Students are assisted in their integration of these theories by studying chronic cases and, later, applying the theory to real cases in their fourth year of study under the tutelage of a personal mentor. This final year of study is invaluable, enabling each student to develop in confidence as a homeopath.

Year 4: During their fourth year of study ACCH students are given the unique opportunity to apply the skills they have learned over the previous three years. Throughout Years 1 3, students learn about case-taking through paper, DVD and video cases. By the fourth year, their confidence and knowledge is such that they are ready to move on to real clinic practice in which they are the homeopath. They become immersed in the practical application of their learned skills. Each student is required to take a minimum of eight clinical cases, with up to three follow-ups for each. The student is assisted for the duration of this year by a personal mentor who observes them closely through the process of case-taking, analysis and management. All ACCH mentors are qualified and experienced homeopaths, and in most cases graduates of the ACCH, with expertise in mentoring.
Strict criteria are followed to ensure our students complete the year competent in clinical case-taking, analysis and management. Having a mentor help the student throughout the process of clinical case-taking contributes much to the students success. As well, fourth year students participate in a number of workshops, which covers the practical aspects of setting up and managing a homeopathic clinic. The colleges unique mentored, clinical case-taking process enables students to ease into homeopathic practice with the minimum of difficulty and the maximum of self-confidence
