Advantages of studying Homeopathy
The World Health Organization (WHO) recently stated that homeopathy is now the second most important form of health treatment in the world today.
An estimated 500 million people worldwide use homeopathy and this number is growing at a breathtaking rate.
The demand for qualified homeopaths outstrips the current supply of practicing homeopaths worldwide.
With the recent formation of the ICH (International Council of Homeopaths) within the next 2 years it will be possible to register as a practitioner in any of the member countries, with a qualification gained in any member country. Homeopathy offers safe and effective treatment in an era when conventional medicine is proving to be non-effective and even harmful to more and more people. As growing numbers of the public seek alternatives to conventional medicine and often turn to homeopathy to provide this alternative, there has seldom been a better time to study towards being a practitioner of the healing art of homeopathy.
Advantages of studying with the ACCH - We are proud to offer a highly individual and personalized approach to each student
The College follows a progressive syllabus, which keeps pace with homeopathy as an evolving medical science. All courses follow a contemporary theoretical and practical methodology in teaching the latest advances in Homeopathy.
The program and course of study is user friendly and flexible. We offer more in class study of homeopathy than other colleges, in line with our stated mission of training students to a high degree of practical competence.
ACCH offers modern methodologies for homeopathic analysis and prescribing, resulting in a high standard of graduates.
Students who are either part way through a relative course of study or who have completed their homeopathic qualification in other countries are able to apply for cross credits to admission into all ACCH courses .Recognition of Prior Learning
Graduates of the Colleges Diploma in Homeopathy program may apply for registration with the NZ Council of Homeopaths, in order to practice legally as a homeopath in New Zealand (and via the ICH internationally)
ACCH student management systems are robust, and students are mentored at all levels of the course. Distance students are allocated their own mentor, and fourth year students of the ACCH Diploma in Homeopathy undertake practical case studies under the mentoring of a senior homeopath.
An inclusive and on-going seminar program provides space for teaching new developments, and allows students access to discussion of difficult cases at practitioner level.
What makes the ACCH competitive in the Student market?
The education process at ACCH recognizes each student as an individual and creates a learning environment which enables students to fully utilize their own potential.
To enable qualified homeopaths to participate effectively within the system of health care in NZ, each student faces a large range of potential therapeutic experiences within this educational process. The quality of education offered by the ACCH is cost effective, we are also accredited to offer to New Zealand students Student Loans and Allowances (Studylink) and the Training Incentive Allowance (Work & Income New Zealand). Futher information.
What makes the ACCH a preferred study option for New Zealand Homeopathic Education? Current experience within the education community of professional homeopathy (ECCH European Guidelines for homeopathic education 2000) shows that effective education in homeopathic practice takes a minimum of three to four years of full time study at a diploma or degree level.
The ACCH offers 20 hours face to face and a minimum of 10 hours of self directed learning per week. Prior to graduation students are required to be actively involved for a full year in case taking and on going case management with a minimum number of ten patients. The student is the primary case taker in each of these cases, is mentored closely throughout, and is able to move into private practice seamlessly following this period.
ACCH course content contains new emerging homeopathic methodologies and philosophies. Since inception the ACCH outlook on Homeopathy is as an evolving science, and yet we remain one of the few institutions internationally that takes this stance. Our graduates have the reputation in NZ of being skilled to a very high level.
Students develop research and audit skills to be able to discern new paradigms and methodologies that are offered.
