A GUIDE FOR STUDENTS, BY SECOND YEAR STUDENTS OF THE AUCKLAND COLLEGE OF CLASSICAL HOMOEOPATHY 1999- 2000
Samuel Hahnemann's ORGANON, Is Homoeopathy's greatest blessing, also it's greatest handicap. From it's ultra-verbose style of writing and presentation it is one of the most difficult studies a Homoeopath can undertake. To remedy this, in 1999 we asked our second year students, as a collective exercise, to reduce the ORGANON to Aphorisms of a maximum one sentence. In 2000 we moderated this exercise with our new second year class, then had the teaching staff re-moderate this again.
The following opus minimus is the result.
Undoubtedly some of the esoteric subtlety of the original masterpiece will have been lost, but esoteric study is a work for master homoeopaths and is not relevant to this exercise. This is purely a set of student notes to enable better understanding of the foundation principles of homoeopathy, and on this basis we offer it to the homoeopathic student world.
We will willingly accept criticism and upgrading from master homoeopaths to refine this into an acceptable international text.
